Racial Justice and Reconciliation GRANT APPLICATION
Shade Partnership Fund (SPF) Mission Statement
“In response to Christ's love and His call to empower those in need, we resolve, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to build up the Church through prayer, service and financial assistance.”
Thank you for deciding to apply for support from the Shade Partnership Fund. SPF desires to provide financial assistance to organizations that jointly build up the Church while advancing the Church’s mission to empower and provide for those in need. This grant is for organizations who are pursuing the Gospel’s call for reconciliation and justice, with an aim towards correcting, undoing and healing the effects of racist systems in America that have caused profound and long lasting damage to individuals and communities of color. SPF seeks to partner with organizations who are fighting systemic racism in a variety of domestic U.S. settings: the justice system, the education system, healthcare system, economic structures, and churches. Preference will be given to organizations that are specifically developing and implementing tangible or systemic solutions to address these issues, though we recognize that policy and system changes must be paired with genuine multi-cultural community and intentional cross-cultural relationships/dialogue; SPF will consider applications from organizations productively attacking both sides of this problem.
Once an organization is selected, the advisors of SPF will recommend a grant to the organization from the donor-advised fund. All grants are subject to the review and approval of the public charity that sponsors the donor-advised fund.
To be considered for a grant please complete our Grant Application below. At this time SPF only offers 1-year grants, but organizations who have previously applied can re-apply annually using a separate abbreviated application.
